Goldfish Boys Production Company

We are a film studio operating at the intersection of journalism, critical design, and cultural anthropology. Our work investigates the political, ecological, historical, and aesthetic systems embedded in objects, spaces, and stories. We create films, performances, and interventions that interrogate the designed world—and those who shape it.

Goldfish Boys films are for those who sense that behind every design lies an untold story. Whether investigating a trade show, a supply chain, or a cultural myth, we bring rigorous attention to contexts and processes, always bringing nuance.

Our team spans disciplines: filmmakers, designers, mechanical engineers, writers, researchers, translators, performers, opera singers and epidemiologists. We operate across formats, but share a common method — humour through truth.

INFORMATION
Sean Alexander Fisher is an engineer based in the Netherlands wearing pataphysical goggles.

His practice blends mechanical engineering and pataphysics. His fascination with metamorphosis and transformation is evident as he turns a critical eye towards humanity's use of the planet's finite resources. Through his sculptures, he seeks to reflect the dynamic nature of the world, emphasizing and responding to the absurd relationship society has with fringe engineering cultures. Furthermore, he explores the interrelations between ecology, economics, communities, and time.

Fisher also works as a photographer and writer and his work can be seen here.
